Private Photo Scrubber Privacy Policy
Effective July 29, 2026
Data collection
Private Photo Scrubber does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal information to the developer or any third party.
Photo processing
Photos explicitly selected by the user are inspected and processed locally on the device. The app does not upload photo content, filenames, paths, hashes, or embedded metadata to a server. Selected originals are not edited or deleted.
Photo access
Photo selection uses the iOS system photo picker and does not require broad photo-library read access. If the user chooses to save a verified copy, the app requests add-only photo-library permission. Permission can be changed in iOS Settings.
Local storage
The app may store a small on-device summary of recent verification runs. Summaries contain timestamps, selected scope, counts, and statuses only. They do not contain photo content, names, paths, hashes, or metadata values. The user can clear summaries inside the app; uninstalling the app also removes them.
Sharing and saving
Data leaves the app only when the user explicitly saves or shares a verified copy through an iOS system interface. The selected destination is governed by that destination's privacy practices.
Accounts, analytics, advertising, and networking
The app has no account, cloud sync, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, advertising identifier, tracking technology, or runtime network service.
Verification boundary
“Verified” means the selected supported metadata fields were absent when the newly created output was re-parsed. It does not cover unclassified metadata, hidden payloads, or steganography.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
